The Fingers of the reach are a Family and position of power within the Reach
Each Finger has a name that is also a title and a role within the group.
Known Fingers:
The Fingers are each responsible for a group of up to 30 individuals within the Reach. Those groups can work on their own to keep the Reach alive and the reason to have multiple groups is to have redundance in the keeping of the Reach, with tight shifts planned and coordinated defences in times of low density.
The reach needs to have the grinding diamonds replaces and the Fingers are naturally equipped with a mutation in their legs to evade the hostile environment of the falling debris and also to fight the attacks of remnants.
